Amendments to the Law on the president´s of Ukraine Elections is called to maximally provide fair elections and render the disfiguration of the declaration of citizens´ will impossible. The First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed such thought in the course of the "round table" work on the theme "For Fair President´s Elections without dirty technologies and falsifications", organized by the parliamentary faction "Party of Regions".
O. Lavrynovych felt surprised by the fact that after the first reading of the Bill in the Parliament exactly those norms were criticized that were not new and are constantly used on practices. "Such critics mostly concerned two positions: formation of the election committees and the order of this committees´ decisions appeals. These norms are effective in Ukraine and have been used previously", - the First Vice-Speaker declared.
He emphasized that the main aim of the suggested amendments is that the side that lost in elections should not try to call the results adulterate.
O. Lavrynovych has informed the participants that critical remarks and rational propositions as a result of the "round table" work would be directed for the scrutiny to the Profile Committee for the elaboration of the text for the second reading.
Summing up the results of the "round table" work, the First Vice-Chairman declared that "such discussion showed that under critics were not new norms of the Law but the old ones that have been used for a long time in Ukraine".
